Story of a Bronze Statue

An Indian tourist walks into a curio shop in San Francisco.
Looking around at the exotica, he notices a very lifelike, Life-sized bronze statue of a rat. It has no price tag, but is so striking he decides he must have it.

He takes it to the owner: "How much for the bronze rat?"
"Twelve dollars for the rat, one hundred dollars for the
Story,"says the owner.

The tourist gives the man twelve dollars.
"I'll just take the rat,you can keep the story."

As he walks down the street carrying his bronze rat,
He notices that a few real rats crawl out of the alleys
And sewers and begin following him down the street.
This is disconcerting; he begins walking faster.
But within a couple blocks, the herd of rats behind
Him grows to hundreds, and they begin squealing.

He begins to trot toward the Bay, looking around to see that the rats now numbered in the MILLIONS, and are still Squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.

Concerned, even scared, he runs to the edge of the Bay And throws the bronze rat as far out into the Bay as he Can. Amazingly, the millions of rats all jump into the Bay After it, and are all drowned.

The 100 Dollar Bill - A Message

The 100 Dollar Bill
====================

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a$100 bill in a room of 200 people, and asked, "Who would like this $100 bill?"

Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $100 bill to one of you, but first let me do this...."

He proceeded to crumple the $100 up.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well".....he replied,

"What if I do this?".....and he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.

He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" he asked. Hands still shot up!

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it...because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $100."

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt, by the decisions we make, and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you never lose your value!

Dirty....clean.....crumpled....or finely creased..... you are still priceless to those who love you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

You are special....don't ever forget it.

Count your blessings..................NOT your problems.
Cheers!

Women 'as likely as men to enjoy casual sex'

It's not just men who are looking for 'friends with benefits'.

A Deakin University researcher has said that women are as likely as men to enjoy casual sexual arrangements, but for different reasons.

Kylie McCardle, who has been looking for 400 'friends with benefits' to take part in a survey, said the women who took part in an initial study said these arrangements gave them sexual confidence.

"The men were more likely to say they enjoyed the intimacy of the friendship," the Age quoted McCardle as saying.

The initial study was based on in-depth interviews with 15 couples, or 30 'friends with benefits'.

"A lot of study of casual sex has focused on the negative impact, especially for women. While 'friends with benefits' have been part of popular culture for a while now, it's only just started to be researched," she said.

The study identified two kinds of relationships -- 'sex buddies' who had little contact outside the bedroom, and those who were friends before and after the sexual relationship.

While many of the respondents were in their 20s, McCardle also interviewed several Generation X divorcees who preferred sex with a friend to emotional involvement.

A 2010 survey of customers on the RSVP website found that 36 per cent of women and 30 per cent of men had had friends with benefits.
